Book Week

Third and fourth graders immersed themselves in the works of R. Kipling. ‘The Jungle Book captured the attention of our older pupils. They talked about the author's biography, competed in knowing his characters and guessed interesting facts from Kipling's life. For example, did you know that Kipling is the youngest winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature? And Rudyard was named Rudyard in honour of the lake where his parents met.

Pupils of the zero class also visited the library, they became spectators of the puppet story ‘Vestochka’ performed by the children's theatre studio ‘Soroka’.

The week of acquaintance with the library was not in vain! The excursions made a great impression on the coryphets: a variety of books, colourful bindings, whole floors of book storage! Many visited such a large library for the first time, but were impressed and promised to return more than once!

And in the school itself the book exchange suitcase functioned all week. Koryphees tried their hand at bookcrossing - exchanging books they had already read. Parents also did not stay aside and took part in the school photo exhibition ‘Reading with the whole family’. Warm family photos became a bright accent of the school week of children's books.

During this week, the koryphees learnt the main secret: to unravel all the mysteries of the world, you just need to pick up a book and start reading!
