Old New Year

The New Year holidays ended on 14 January, with the arrival of the Old New Year. In honour of this holiday, each class held thematic holiday classes.

At the classes the children were told about the history of celebrating the Old New Year, about Holy Days, carols. And also about what New Year dates existed before and how these holidays were celebrated in the old days. They did not forget about those traditions that were repeated from generation to generation and kept in people's memory. For example, the young coryphets learnt what Vasily's Day is and what omens are connected with it.

The warm atmosphere was a wonderful end to the New Year holidays and left pleasant memories until the next New Year!
